Victories and Defeats
The Obama inaguration was nice. The CEO at MRS gave us leave to watch it during work hours, were a pretty leftie kind of office which I find a bit embarasing and comforting at the same time.  I usualy try to leave politics to the internet or the rare soul who likes arguing about it.  It was cool to see a president give a speach I could imagine myself giving and saying the kinds of things I often say when roused to patriotism.  I hope he does great things.

On the work front I had a down right awesome day.  I think I managed to make everyone at my companie a few noches happier, especialy the CEO and my department head.  I think our customers will be happy too.  I got my promotion thing a day ago and since then I believe I've pretty well blown folks socks off.  Now for the follow through!

At home we did our first try at the P90X workout.  It kicked my ass in the first 15 minuts and I couldn't raise my arms more than an inch from my sides without horribile pain.  Not a good sign.  Gladly they calmed down about 15 minutes later and I mimed my way through the rest of the workout.  I rather liked it though.  Its a very mantastic kind of exercise video and when exercising my more primitive mind takes center stage so it was happy to have someone to relate to.

Final Score:  Heart 1, Brain 1, Body 0

Thanks.

Basically I'm now in charge of all our software development. Previously I was in charge of our existing system and a few side projects and the other PM worked on the new product we are developing (which is a much bigger task than upgrading the existing one).

Since all my company does is sell software... its a pretty hefty position to be in.

I'm not sure on the workout. Were going to try and do it often. In the past though I have an aversion to exercise in general, not activity mind you, just the going through the motions for the sake of doing them that is exercise. It was more fun than most though so I'll keep at it for a while.
